The 1981 run at Chicago's classy Uptown Theatre was unforgettable. The second set on Friday opened with a crisp "Scarlet Fire". When Jerry sang, "not a chill to the winter but a nip to the air" it was just...perfect. It could be an illusion, but once again, like always, Jerry crystallized the vibe. All three shows were classics, but Friday night stands out.
